I was looking through the transactions section in the Quad-Cities Times the other day and spotted a familiar name. This led to an idea for a new semi-regular feature. And, while I was looking for the transaction that might be of interest to Rattler fans, I found another one.

Here are the transactions:

Golden Baseball League
EDMONTON CRACKER CATS-Agreed to terms with OF Carlos Arroyo, C Chris Avery, OF Josh Carter, LHP Ryan Danly, SS Dave Detienne, 1B Allen Langdon, OF Marcus Nettles, C John Pasieka, RHP Randy Rapp, INF Rob Recuenco, LHP Joel Schmal, RHP Pete Sikaris, RHP Phil Sobkow, LHP Jake Upwood, OF-coach Chris Von Rossum and RHP Randy Waite.

Fagan was a Rattler in 2006. Arroyo was a Rattler in 2003.

There was no release at the Cracker Cats website on Arroyo, but there is this at the Explorer site from their manager Les Lancaster: I have received a great amount of positive comments on Fagan’s ability from the Seattle Mariners Scout and I look forward to seeing him throw in camp.”
