Mariner System Report (Games of 4/12)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 6-6, T-2nd American League West): The Mariners beat the Angels 8-3. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, ’94) homered and drove in three runs for Seattle.

TACOMA (AAA: 5-3, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 10-7 at Colorado Springs. Wladimir Balentien (’04) and Jeff Clement (’05) each hit a home run for Tacoma. The Rainiers had a 6-5 lead, but the Sky Sox scored five times in the bottom of the sixth and held on for the win.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 5-4, 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx topped Huntsville 4-1. Marshall Hubbard (’05), Jon Nelson (’03), and Mike Wilson (’05) each had two hits and an RBI for West Tennessee. Jason Mackintosh (’04) worked a scoreless ninth for the save.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 6-4, T-1st California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 15-4 to Inland Empire. Greg Halman (’07) hit a homer and drove in two runs for High Desert. But, Inland Empire scored eight times in the fifth inning to blow the game wide open.
