Here is how the Rattlers have fared on April 13…since 2000

2000: Rattlers lost 4-3 at Kane County. I was not at this game. Green Bay Gambler playoff game

2001: Rattlers swept a doubleheader from Beloit in Grand Chute.

In game one, a 9-2 Rattler win, Kevin Olore allowed two runs (one earned) with seven strikeouts over five innings for the win. Joe Rodriguez, Jake Daubert, and Corey Freeman each had two RBI.

In game two, Rodriguez hit a game-winning, two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh. Joe Dusan went 1-for-1 with two walks, a sacrifice fly, a run scored, and an RBI double.

2002: The Rattlers lost 6-5 at Kane County. I was not at this game. Gambler playoff game. Looking at the brief sketch I have: Wisconsin took a 5-4 lead with four runs in the eighth. The Cougars won the game with two in the ninth off Lanny Patten.

2003: The Rattlers won 4-0 at Burlington. Bobby Livingston and Ryan Rowland-Smith combined on a two-hit shutout. Matt Hagen, Jon Nelson, TJ Bohn, and Chris Phillips drove in the runs for the Rattlers.

2004: Wisconsin won 5-3 at Burlington. Adam Jones broke a 2-2 tie with an RBI double in the top of the eighth. Chris Collins followed with a two-run double. The Bees scored a run off Juan Ovalles in the bottom of the eighth. But, Jason Mackintosh and Brian Stitt closed out Burlington.

2005: Wisconsin beat the SWING 3-2 in eleven innings in Grand Chute. Matt Tuiasosopo had a good day. He drove in the tying run with a single in the eighth and hit a lead off homer in the bottom of the eleventh for the walk-off.

2006: Cedar Rapids beat the Rattlers 7-2 in Grand Chute. Paul Fagan allowed six runs on six hits in four innings. Five of those runs scored in the first inning. Warner Madrigal had two hits and two RBI for the Kernels.

2007: Cedar Rapids beat the Rattlers 4-2 in Iowa. Chris Tillman allowed two runs and struck out seven over four innings to take the loss. Jair Fernandez hit a homer in the eighth inning off Madrigal to pull the Rattlers to within 3-2, but Cedar Rapids got an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth.

Rattler record on April 13 since 2000 is 5-4. April 13 was a good day for game winning homers. But, honestly now, does anyone remember Joe Rodriguez aside from me?
