Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Rattlers have fared on July 15...since 2000.

2000: The Rattlers lost 3-1 to Dayton at home. The Dragons scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning to erase a 1-0 Rattler lead. Rattler records after this game: 13-9 second half, 51-39 overall

2001: The Rattlers won 4-3 at Lansing. Wisconsin scored three runs in the top of the third inning to break a 1-1 tie. Kevin Olore struck out nine and got the win. Rattler records after this game: 15-8, 57-34

2002: The Rattlers won 4-3 at South Bend to end their 12 game losing streak. Phil Cullen got the win as he allowed one run on two hits over five innings. Wisconsin had a 4-1 lead going into the bottom of the ninth. Mike Kesten did not retire any of the three batters he faced. Lanny Patten entered the game with the bases loaded and no outs. He struck out the first two batters. Then, Scott Hairston reached on an error that allowed two runs to score. He got Kyle Nichols to fly out to center for the final out. 2003: The Rattlers were off. Wisconsin records after this game: 11-14, 49-42

2004: The Rattlers won a pair of games from the Cedar Rapids Kernels at home.

Wisconsin won the completion of suspended game from July 3 by a score of 9-2.
Tom Oldham started the game on July 3 and the rotation worked out to have him come back and pick up the game where it left off a scoreless game after three innings. The Kernels scored a run in the fourth, but the Rattlers scored three in the fourth, three in the sixth, and three in the seventh. Wladimir Balentien hit a two run homer and Justin Ruchti drove in three runs. Oldham -- he pitched a complete game and struck out nine for the win.

In the regularly scheduled game, the Rattlers won 4-3. Hyung Cho singled in a run in the bottom of the sixth to break a 3-3 tie. Bryan Stitt struck out the side and worked around a single in the top of the ninth. Rattler records after this game: 8-12, 39-50

2005: The Rattlers lost 3-2 to Quad Cities at home. The SWING scored a run in the top of the sixth to break a 2-2 tie. Rattler records after this game: 10-12, 49-43

2006: The Rattlers lost 12-2 to Quad Cities at home. The score was 11-0 before an Alex Gary homer in the bottom of the seventh inning. Rattler records after this game: 6-17, 33-60

2007: The Rattlers lost 6-2 at Lansing. The Lugnuts scored three in the first and three in the eighth. This was loss number eight in a row. Rattler records after this game: 8-14, 30-60

A 4-4 record. Eh. what are you going to do?
