GO FOR THE SWEEP: Tonight the Cougars and Timber Rattlers wrap up a four-game series, and the Cougars conclude their longest road trip of the season, a 10-game trip on which they are 5-4 at the moment. They dropped two of three in both Cedar Rapids and Lansing but are looking to sweep the series here in Wisconsin. The Cougars won yesterday, 3-1, for their first series win out of the last seven sets. Mike Spina scored twice and had three hits, including a solo homer, Tyler Ladendorf collected his first RBI as a Cougar and Chris Berroa drove in a run to lead the offense. Murphy Smith tossed four shutout innings as the starter, Scott Deal grabbed the win with two scoreless innings of relief and Daniel Thomas posted his first save. The Cougars now seek their first sweep of the year.
