Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of August 9, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 55-56; T-3rd National League Central): The Brewers lost 2-0 at Houston. Yovani Gallardo allowed a two-run homer to Geoff Blum for the only runs of the game.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 61-55; 2nd Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost 11-4 at Salt Lake. Both teams had 11 hits.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 53-59 overall, 15-28 second half; 5th Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 7-4 to Mississippi. The Braves scored four runs in the first inning on the way to the victory.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 65-39 overall, 25-15 second half; 2nd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees beat Lakeland 6-2 in ten innings. Michael Bowman allowed one hit and no runs with eight strikeouts over six innings for a no decision. Steffan Wilson hit a grand slam in the bottom of the tenth for the win.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 21-23; 1-4 second half; 4th Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers were off on Sunday.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 17-23; 5-7 second half; T-4th Arizona League East Division): The Brewers beat the Angels 4-2.
