Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of August 15, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 58-58; 3rd National League Central): The Brewers beat the Astros 6-2. Craig Counsell had three hits and three RBI for Milwaukee. Mike Burns pitched seven innings and struck out seven for the win.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 65-56; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds beat Fresno 9-1. Corey Patterson had three hits and two RBI as Nashville went back into first place in their division.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 55-62 overall, 17-31 second half; 5th Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 1-0 at Mobile. Both teams had seven hits in the game.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 67-41 overall, 27-17 second half; 2nd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees were leading Lakeland in game one of a doubleheader when rain forced a suspension of play. The game will be resumed today as part of a doubleheader.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 23-26; 3-8 second half; 4th Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost 9-3 to Orem. The Owlz scored four runs in the eighth inning to break a 3-3 tie.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 20-25; 8-9 second half; 4th Arizona League East Division): The Brewers beat the Indians 8-7 in 15 innings.
