Taking the day...well, the morning...well, some time at least

I'll be around...Just not for the rest of the morning.

If you want to see how the rest of the Brewers minor league system did go to this post at Brew Crew Ball.

If you want to see last night in the Midwest League, here is the scoreboard. But, I do have to post a link to the story about the Simon Castro no-hitter.

Simon says no-no
Add one more miracle to a magical Fort Wayne baseball summer.

Simon Castro, the 6-foot-5 right hander from the Dominican Republic, threw the first no-hitter in the 17-year history of the TinCaps/Wizards when he blanked the Dayton Dragons 6-0 Tuesday night before 4,847 at a Parkview Field that keeps getting more magical as the season goes along.

...

“No one was saying anything, but in the sixth inning, I was like, ‘I’m throwing a no-hitter right now,’ ” Castro said.

And when he took the mound for the seventh, he had another conversation with himself.

“I was pretty nervous when I came out,” he said. “I said to myself, ‘OK, I’ve got to do something here. I got to go to work.’ ”

No. 2 Dayton batter Cody Puckett popped out to shortstop Drew Cumberland. then No. 3 hitter Byron Wiley struck out for his third time. And it was cleanup hitter Carlos Mendez who lofted a lazy, historic fly ball to Tekotte in shallow center.

“I was going to catch that one with two hands,” Tekotte said.

“Of course, I want to call my father and my mother,” Castro said. “They don’t have any idea yet.”

Simon Castro smiled and rubbed his head. “Wow,” he said. “Wow.”

Yesterday morning, yesterday afternoon, Yesterday evening, this morning......

How am i supposed to be positive with no news on the team?

I'll just have to keep myself occupied with lyrics then...

Baby, I don't understand, why we can't just hold on to each others' hands

This time might be the last, I fear, unless I make it all too clear
I need you so, ohh

Take these broken wings, and learn to fly again, learn to live so free

And when we hear the voices sing, the book of love will open up and let us in...

Baby, I think tonight, we can take what was wrong and make it right, mmmmmm yeah....

Baby, it's all I know, that you're half of the flesh
And blood that makes me whole, I need you soooooo
