Mariner System Report (Games of 4/11)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 5-6, 4th American League West): The Mariners beat the Angels 8-5. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, ’94) hit a pair of homers and drove in three runs for Seattle. Felix Hernandez (’03) struck out seven over 6.2IP and got the win. Mark Lowe (’05) pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.

TACOMA (AAA: 5-2, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers had their game in Colorado Springs postponed due to cold weather. The doubleheader is scheduled for Sunday.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 4-4, 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 10-1 to Huntsville. Arthur Rhodes allowed three runs (one earned) in a rehab assignment and took the loss. Justin Thomas (’06) struck out seven in 5.2IP in relief.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 6-3, T-1st California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Inland Empire 6-5 in eleven innings. The Mavericks scored four times in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game. Carlos Peguero (’07) hit a three-run homer to even the score. Greg Halman (’07) hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the winning run. Harold Williams (’06, ’07) pitched two scoreless innings for the win.
