Here is how the Rattlers have fared on April 12...since 2000
Rattlers win 6-1 at Kane County. I was not at this game due to a Green Bay Gambler playoff game.
Rattlers and Beloit rained out in Grand Chute.
Rattlers won 7-6 in Burlington. Alejandro Cadena was the hitting star in this game for the Rattlers. He had four hits, was hit by a pitch, and drove in five runs. His two-run single in the top of the seventh put Wisconsin up 6-3. But, the Bees scored three times in the bottom of the eighth off Jeff Perez. Cadena came through with a two-out RBI single in the top of the ninth and Michael Kesten worked around a two out error followed by a single to get the save.
The Rattlers won 9-3 in 15 innings at Burlington. The Bees tied the game 3-3 with a run in the bottom of the seventh. Nobody scored again until the fifteenth. Jon Nelson hit a two-run homer with one out to break the tie. TJ Bohn was next and he went deep as well for a 6-3 lead. Later in the inning, Michael Garciaparra launched a three-run homer for the final score. Yep, three homers in the fifteenth for the win.
The Bees beat the Rattlers 3-0 in Burlington. Dustin Hughes and Jake Mullis combined on a no-hitter. This was a scoreless game until the Bees scored three unearned runs in the bottom of the eighth off Brandon Perry and Mike Hrynio. Nibaldo Acosta gave up two hits in seven scoreless for a no decision. This was the first time the Timber Rattlers had been no-hit.
Rattlers win 9-2 over the SWING of the Quad Cities in Grand Chute. Wisconsin scored six runs in the first inning and tacked on three more in the second. Matt Tuiasosopo had two RBI in the game. Mumba Rivera was the winning pitcher.
Rattlers win 7-1 at Beloit. Justin Thomas was the winning pitcher. He allowed one run on five hits over seven innings. Ron Garth drove in three runs and had three hits.
Rattlers and Clinton have a doubleheader rained out in Grand Chute.
A record of 5-1 with a couple of rainouts with the one loss being a no-hitter. But, I judge April 12 to be pretty good day in Rattler history.
