@Wisconsin 5, Dayton 4 (11 innings): Rattlers version | Dragons version
Fort Wayne 4 @Kane County 2:
It wasn’t the most graceful of run-producing sequences, but after being shut out for 34 2/3 innings, you tend to take what you can get.@Peoria 7, Lansing 6: With two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning, Peoria’s Jose Made walked on four straight pitches to bring home Ryan Flaherty for the winning run.
The Cougars snapped a scoreless streak that was nearing four nine-inning games Friday night against Fort Wayne on a throwing error that allowed Franklin Hernandez to score, but the problem was the only two runs they did manage each only got them within two runs.
A visibly frustrated Cougars team suffered its first sweep of the season in the 4-2 loss and has now lost a season-high four games in a row.
Great Lakes 11 @Burlington 3: The Bees and Loons went back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Then the sixth inning hit and Great Lakes grabbed the chance to finally put Burlington in its rearview mirror.
Cedar Rapids @Beloit: PPD
South Bend @Clinton: Canceled
@Quad Cities 8, West Michigan 4 (7 innings):
Friday did more than provide the Quad-Cities River Bandits with an opportunity to end a five-game losing streak.
Even beyond a four-run first inning that led Quad-Cities to an 8-4 win in a game that was halted after seven innings by rain, the River Bandits had a chance to learn a bit about the business of baseball Friday.
The trade that sent top Cardinals prospects Brett Wallace, Clayton Mortensen and Shane Peterson to Oakland for Athletics outfielder Matt Holliday provided a taste of reality in the minor leagues.
