Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of July 22, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 48-47; 4th National League Central): The Brewers lost 8-7 at Pittsburgh. Milwaukee rallied from a 5-2 deficit to take a 7-5 lead, but the Pirates tied the game 7-7 in the bottom of the fifth and won the game with a homer in the bottom of the ninth.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 54-43; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds split a doubleheader with Memphis. Nashville won game one 1-0 in eight innings. Tim Dillard pitched a complete game one-hitter with no walks and four strikeouts for the win. Memphis won game two 5-1.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 50-46 overall, 12-15 second half; 4th Southern League North Division): The Stars beat Carolina 6-1. Lorenzo Cain (’09) homered and Drew Anderson went 4-for-5 for Huntsville.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 56-32 overall, 16-8 second half; 1st Florida State League North Division): The Manatees beat St. Lucie 2-1. Jim Henderson (’09) allowed a run in the ninth, but got the save.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 15-12; 1st Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers were off on Wednesday.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 12-14; 4th Arizona League East Division): The Brewers beat the Angels 6-5 in ten innings.
