Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of July 18, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 47-44; T-2nd National League Central): The Brewers won 5-1 at Cincinnati. Manny Parra allowed a run on five hits and struck out six for the win. Craig Counsell and JJ Hardy each homered for the Brewers.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 52-41; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost 2-1 at Iowa. The I-Cubs scored a run in the eighth to tie and a run in the ninth to win.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 49-44 overall, 11-13 second half; 4th Southern League North Division): The Stars won 8-5 at Mississippi. Huntsville scored six runs in the sixth inning. Donovan Hand won his eighth game of the season and drove in a pair of runs in the game.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 52-32 overall, 12-8 second half; T-1st Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 5-2 to Jupiter. Michael Bowman (’09) walked six in 5-1/3 innings and took the loss.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 13-11; T-1st Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers won 9-4 at Casper. Edgar Trejo (’09) homered for Helena.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 9-13; 4th Arizona League East Division): The Brewers were off on Saturday.
