Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of July 29, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 50-51; 4th National League Central): The Brewers beat Washington 7-5. Casey McGehee hit a two-run homer in a three run sixth inning to help Milwaukee take the lead.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 56-48; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds beat New Orleans 5-3. Nashville scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 52-50 overall, 14-19 second half; T-4th Southern League North Division): The Stars were swept in a doubleheader at Montgomery. The Biscuits won game one 5-1 and shutout Huntsville 10-0 in game two.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 59-35 overall, 19-11 second half; 2nd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 4-2 at Fort Myers. Michael Bowman (’09) allowed two runs on five hits over five innings and took the loss.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 17-17; 3rd Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost 5-4 to Great Falls.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 12-19; 0-3 second half; 5th Arizona League East Division): The Brewers lost 7-4 to the Cubs.
