Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of August 11, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 55-57; 3rd National League Central): The Brewers lost 13-6 to the Padres. San Diego scored six runs in the sixth inning to blow open a close game. The Padres also banged out 22 hits in the game.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 63-55; 2nd Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds won 8-4 at Salt Lake. Adam Heether drove in three runs for Nashville.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 54-59 overall, 16-28 second half; 5th Southern League North Division): The Stars had their home game against Mississippi rained out. The game will not be made up.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 65-41 overall, 25-17 second half; 2nd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 3-2 to Dunedin. The Blue Jays scored a run in the top of the ninth inning off Dan Merklinger (’09) for the win. Alex Periard (’09) started the game for the Manatees and pitched 3-1/3 scoreless innings.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 22-23; 2-5 second half; 4th Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost 16-6 to Ogden.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 19-23; 7-7 second half; T-3rd Arizona League East Division): The Brewers beat the Athletics 3-1.
