Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of July 1, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 42-36; 1st National League Central): The Brewers lost 1-0 to the Mets. Yovani Gallardo struck out 12, but the Milwaukee offense could not score.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 45-35; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds won 6-3 at Round Rock. Brendan Katin went 4-for-4 with two runs scored, a homer, and an RBI. Lindsay Gulin (’98) allowed one run on five hits with five strikeouts over seven innings for the win.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 44-35 overall, 6-4 second half; 1st Southern League North Division): The Stars won 3-1 at Tennessee. Mark Holliman gave up one run on seven hits over 5-2/3 innings for the win.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 43-26 overall, 3-2 second half; T-4th Florida State League North Division): The Manatees had their doubleheader at Charlotte rained out.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 5-4; T-2nd Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers won 10-0 at Billings. Scott Krieger went 2-for-5 with three RBI.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 4-5; T-3rd Arizona League East Division): The Brewers lost 8-4 to the Cubs.
