Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of July 5, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 43-39; 2nd National League Central): The Brewers lost 8-2 at Wrigley Field to the Cubs. Mike Burns allowed seven runs over 4-2/3 innings and took the loss.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 46-36; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds had their games against the Albuquerque Isotopes rained out.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 45-38 overall, 7-7 second half; T-3rd Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 11-8 to West Tennessee. Huntsville was down 10-2 after the top of the fifth. The Diamond Jaxx hit five homers in the game.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 46-28 overall, 6-4 second half; 4th Florida State League North Division): The Manatees won 3-1 at Tampa. Michael Bowman (’09) allowed a run on six hits over 5-1/3 innings, but was not involved in the decision.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 8-5; T-1st Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers won 4-2 at Great Falls. Damon Krestalude allowed two runs on four hits over six innings for the win. Helena’s offense rallied from a 2-0 deficit for the win.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 5-7; 3rd Arizona League East Division): The Brewers lost 17-4 to the Padres.
