Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of July 17, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 46-44; T-2nd National League Central): The Brewers lost 4-0 at Cincinnati. Jeff Suppan allowed three unearned runs to take the loss.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 52-40; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds won 4-1 at Iowa. Chris Cody allowed one run and struck out six over seven innings.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 48-44 overall, 10-13 second half; 4th Southern League North Division): The Stars won 4-3 at Mississippi. Jonathon Lucroy homered in the top of the seventh to break a 3-3 tie.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 52-31 overall, 12-7 second half; 1st Florida State League North Division): The Manatees won 12-5 at Clearwater. Zelous Wheeler drove in five runs for Brevard County and Jim Henderson (’09) got the win with 1-1/3 innings of scoreless relief.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 12-11; T-2nd Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers won 5-4 at Idaho Falls. Helena scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally from a 4-3 deficit.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 9-13; 4th Arizona League East Division): The Brewers beat the Royals 11-4 at Maryvale.
