Adam Jones was a shortstop for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2004. On Tuesday, he helped the American League beat the National League 4-3 in the 2009 All-Star Game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

Jones, who is an outfielder for the Baltimore Orioles now, stepped to the plate with the scored tied 3-3 in the top of the eighth inning. Curtis Granderson tripled and Victor Martinez was intentionally walked with one out to put Jones in position to give the AL a win and run their unbeaten streak to 13 years in the Midsummer Classic.

Heath Bell got up 0-2 in the count, but Jones put the ball in play with a fly ball the warning track in right field. The ball was deep enough for Granderson to score what turned out to be the winning run without a play.
