Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of July 7, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 43-40; 2nd National League Central): The Brewers lost 5-0 to the Cardinals at Miller Park. St. Louis scored three runs in the top of the first inning and the Brewers could not score despite collecting seven hits.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 48-37; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds beat Albuquerque 5-4. Brendan Katin hit his 19th homer of the season and drove in three runs, but Nashville needed a run in the bottom of the ninth inning for the win.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 45-40 overall, 7-9 second half; 4th Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 6-1 to West Tennessee. The loss was the fifth straight for Huntsville.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 47-28 overall, 7-4 second half; 3rd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees were trailing 1-0 at Tampa when rain suspended the game until August 28.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 8-6; T-2nd Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost 2-1 to Idaho Falls.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 5-9; 5th Arizona League East Division): The Brewers lost 10-7 to the Cubs.
