Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of July 8, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 44-40; 2nd National League Central): The Brewers beat the Cardinals 5-4 at Miller Park. Mat Gamel homered as Milwaukee rallied from a 4-1 deficit. Todd Coffey got the win and Trevor Hoffman pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 48-38; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost 10-0 to Round Rock. The Express outhit Nashville 18-5.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 45-41 overall, 7-10 second half; 4th Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 11-5 at Chattanooga. Huntsville led 5-4 after five innings, but could not hold the lead.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 47-28 overall, 7-4 second half; 3rd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees were rained out last night. They have a doubleheader scheduled with Clearwater tonight.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 8-7; 3rd; Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost 9-5 in ten innings to Idaho Falls.

AZL BREWERS (ROOKIE: 5-9; T-4th; Arizona League East Division): The Brewers were off on Wednesday.
