Going off the board on this one, because middle relievers don't get mentioned often enough when they do a good job.
Julio Mateo was a solid if not spectacular Timber Rattler in 2000. He has turned in some fine performances for the Mariners as a reliever and last night he worked a good one. Mateo kept the Indians off the board and allowed the Mariner bats to eventually get going.
Mateo got his first win of the season to help Seattle reach .500.
