Seattle (MAJ: 56-62; 4th AL West): The Mariners lost 5-4 at Oakland. Mark Lowe (WI ’05) worked two more scoreless innings, but Rafael Soriano (WI ’00) allowed a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning that put the A’s in front to stay. Seattle has lost thirteen straight to Oakland.
Tacoma (AAA – 65-56; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma lost 8-3 at Portland. Justin Leone (WI ’00) and Terrmel Sledge (WI ’00) both hit home runs for the Beavers.
San Antonio (AA – 51-67; 24-26 second half 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio lost 11-3 at Wichita. Wladimir Balentien (WI ’04) drove in two runs for the Missions. Ryan Feierabend (WI ’04) allowed five runs on twelve hits for the loss. San Antonio has lost ten straight games.
Inland Empire (High-A – 63-56, 24-25 second half; T-2nd California League South Division): Inland Empire beat Lancaster 5-3. Justin Thomas (WI ’06) got his seventh win with seven strikeouts over seven innings. Casey Craig (WI ’06) homered for the 66ers.
Everett (Short Season-A – 25-30; 4th Northwest League West Division): Everett beat Boise 7-6. Gavin Dickey had a pair of hits, including a home run, and scored a three runs for the Sox. But, the Sox committed four errors in the game.
AZL M’s (Rookie – 21-23; 7-9 6th Arizona League): The Mariners lost 7-3 to the Padres.
