Mariner System Report (Games of 6/18)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 25-47 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 8-3 to Florida. Seattle ended their six game homestand with a 1-5 record.

TACOMA (AAA: 36-36, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers won 7-4 at Las Vegas. Joe Woerman (’06) allowed two runs (one earned) over six innings for the win. Yung Chi Chen (’05) drove in two runs for Tacoma.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 42-30, 1-1 T-2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 7-5 at Huntsville. Jon Nelson (’03) hit a pair of homers and drove in three runs for West Tennessee, but the Stars got a little revenge for their loss on Tuesday.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 35-38, 3-0 second half 1st California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Lancaster 5-2. Chris Minaker (’06) drove in three runs and Kuo Hui Lo (’07) homered for the offense. Steve Richard (’07) pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.

EVERETT (Short Season-A: 1-1, T-1st Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox beat Spokane 4-1. Walter Suriel (’08) allowed one run over seven innings for the win.

PULASKI (Rookie: 2-0, T-1st Appalachian League East Division): Pulaski beat Princeton 6-4. The M’s scored a run in the seventh and five in the eighth to erase a 4-0 deficit.

PEORIA (Rookie: Arizona League): The AZL M’s season begins June 22 vs. the AZL Padres.
