Mariner System Report (Games of 7/31)

Seattle (MAJ: 52-53; 3rd AL West): The Mariners beat the Orioles 10-5. All ten of Seattle’s runs came from the sixth inning on as they erased a 5-0 deficit. Richie Sexson and Kenji Johjima both homered and Johjima drove in three runs. Former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez had a pair of RBI for the M’s. Julio Mateo (WI ’00) got the win in relief.

Tacoma (AAA – 58-50; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Oklahoma 7-4. Jon Nelson (WI ’03) was 4-for-4 with three RBI for Tacoma. TJ Bohn (WI ’03) homered for the Rainiers. Bobby Livingston (WI ’03) got his sixth win of the season and Renee Cortez pitched the final three innings for a save.ad and held on for the win.

San Antonio (AA – 50-56; 23-15 second half 1st Texas League South Division): San Antonio beat Midland 11-10. Sebastien Boucher (WI ’05) had three hits and scoreed three runs for San Antonio. The Missions scored six times in the fourth inning to give them a big lead. Robert Rohrbaugh (WI ’05) got the win and Ryan Rowland-Smith (WI ’03) got the save.

Inland Empire (High-A – 57-49, 18-18 second half; T-2nd California League South Division): Inland Empire beat High Desert 3-2. Reed Eastley hit a pair of homers for the 66ers. Cibney Bello (WI ’05) got the win for Inland Empire.

Everett (Short Season-A – 20-22; 4th Northwest League West Division): Everett beat Spokane 11-3. Kevin Reynolds (WI ’06) drove in four runs for the Sox. Bryan Sabatella (WI ’06) scored four runs. Steve Ulmansiek pitched five scoreless innings and gave up just two hits for the win. The Sox have won three straight in tye-dye uniforms.

AZL M’s (Rookie – 15-17; 1-3 8th Arizona League): The Mariners were off on Monday.
