Mariner System Report (Games of 8/1)

Seattle (MAJ: 52-54; 4th AL West): The Mariners lost 2-0 to the Orioles. Seattle had four hits in the loss.

Tacoma (AAA – 58-51; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma lost 4-3 to Oklahoma. Jon Nelson (WI ’03) had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI for the Rainiers. There were a lot of people at the game from Butte, Montana to cheer on Rob Johnson (WI '05)

San Antonio (AA – 50-56; 23-15 second half 1st Texas League South Division): San Antonio was off on Tuesday.

Inland Empire (High-A – 57-50, 18-19 second half; T-2nd California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 13-9 to Stockton. The Ports scored seven runs in the top of the fifth inning. Chris Colton had a pair of hits and five RBI for the 66ers in the loss.

Everett (Short Season-A – 21-22; 4th Northwest League West Division): Everett beat Spokane 5-4 in ten innings. The Sox trailed 4-0 until scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. A three run homer by Leury Bonilla capped that rally. Joe White doubled in Dean Zorn with the winning run in the bottom of the tenth. The Sox have won four straight.

AZL M’s (Rookie – 16-17; 2-3 T-6th Arizona League): The Mariners beat the Padres 9-5. Alex Liddi and Carlos Peguero both homered for the M’s.
