Braves: April 26, 1957

The '57 Braves began their road trip to Cincinnati with a 9-2 win.

Warren Spahn allowed nine hits, but only two runs as he won his third game of the season.

The Braves knocked around four Red pitchers with four home runs. Joe Adcock hit a pair of homers, a solo homer in the second and a grand slam in the third, off Red starter Johnny Klippstein. Johnny Logan and Del Crandall both had solo homers fo the other two.

The win moved the '57 Braves to 7-1. Brooklyn lost at Pittsburgh and Milwaukee had a one game lead on the Dodgers.

The series at Crosley Field continues on April 27.
