Mariner System Report (Games of 4/28)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 9-10; 3rd AL West): The Mariners lost 9-3 to Kansas City. The Royals scored six first inning runs off Jeff Weaver. Gil Meche (WI ’98) allowed three unearned runs over six innings and got the win for the Royals.

TACOMA (AAA: 10-13; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Las Vegas 15-1. Jeff Clement (WI ’05) had three hits, a grand slam home run, and six RBI to lead the offense. Wladimir Balentien (WI ’04) also had three hits and drove in three runs.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 9-14; T-4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Chattanooga 3-2. Marshall Hubbard (WI ’05) homered and drove in two of the runs for West Tennessee. Robert Rohrbaugh (WI ’05) pitched six scoreless innings and struck out eight for the win.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 8-15; 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks beat San Jose 6-4. Jeff Dominguez (WI ’06) drove in a pair of runs for the Mavericks. Paul Fagan (WI ’06) allowed two runs on three hits over 6-2/3 innings and struck out seven for the win.
