The '82 Brewers welcomed Robin Yount back to the starting lineup on April 23 with a 2-1 win over the Rangers at Arlington Stadium. Yount was starting for the first time April 13.
Milwaukee got on the board in the first inning against Rick Honeycutt. Paul Molitor walked. Charlie Moore doubled. Cecil Cooper had a sacrifice fly to drive in Molitor.
Moose Haas held that lead until the bottom of the fourth. Billy Sample drove in the tying run with a double.
Milwaukee retook the lead in the top of the fifth. Gorman Thomas doubled, went to third on a wild pitch by Honeycutt, and scored on an infield single by Don Money.
Haas worked four more innings and kept the Rangers off the board. Rollie Fingers relieved for the ninth and pitched a 1-2-3 inning to record the save.

The win moved the '82 Brewers to 6-6 on the season. They were tied for third with Cleveland, 2-1/2 games behind Detroit.
