Mariner System Report (Games of 4/25)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 7-9; 3rd AL West): The Mariners shutout the Athletics 2-0. Former UW-Oshkosh Titan Jarrod Washburn pitched a complete game three-hitter to win at Oakland.

TACOMA (AAA: 8-12; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers were off on Wednesday.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 8-12; T-3rd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Jacksonville 13-12. West Tennessee took a 13-7 lead into the top of the ninth inning only to see the Suns score five times against Craig James (WI ’05). Juan Sandoval (WI ’03) gave up a two-run single, but induced a game ending double play for the save. Matt Tuiasosopo (WI ’05) went 5-for-5 with a home run for the Jaxx. Chris Minaker (WI ’06) had three hits (all doubles) and drove in five for West Tennessee.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 6-14; 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 8-3 at Rancho Cucamonga. Jeff Dominguez (WI ’06) had three hits and an RBI for the Mavs. But, the Quakes were up 7-0 before High Desert scored three in the top of the eighth.
