SEATTLE (MAJ: 21-37 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 4-2 to the Angels. Jarrod Washburn allowed four runs on nine hits to take the loss.
TACOMA (AAA: 27-30, T-3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 10-5 to Salt Lake. Yung Chi Chen (’05) and Jeff Clement (’05) both homered and drove in two runs for Tacoma.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 34-24, 2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 5-4 to Tennessee. The Smokies scored an unearned run in the top of the ninth inning to break a 4-4 tie.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 26-32, 3rd California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 1-0 to Modesto. The Nuts scored a run in the bottom of the first inning off Nick Hill.
