Here is how the Timber Rattlers have fared on June 7...since 2000.
2000: The Rattlers won 5-4 at Fort Wayne. Ryan Christianson and Justin Leone had RBI hits in the top of the seventh for a 5-2 lead. The Wizards scored a run in the eighth and a run in the ninth to tighten things up. But, Aquilino Lopez got the final out for the save. Leone and Shawn McCorkle each had a pair of RBI for Wisconsin. 2001: Burlington beat the Rattlers 3-2 at Community Field. Rett Johnson had a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the eighth inning. But the first two batters reached, including an RBI double by Billy Keppinger. John Butler entered and committed an error on a pick off that allowed Keppinger to score. Mike Stodolka and Jason Fingers combined to allow just four Wisconsin hits. Rattler record after this game: 34-24
2002: The Rattlers lost 5-4 at Fort Wayne. Josh Barfield hit a two-run homer as part of a four-run Wizard fourth inning that put them up 5-4. Jason Van Meetren homered for the Rattlers. Wisconsin record after this game: 27-33
2003: The Rattlers won 12-4 at South Bend. Matt Hagen homered, Jon Nelson drove in a pair of runs, and Gary Harris had three hits. Rattler record after this game: 35-24
2004: Quad Cities swept a day-night doubleheader in Grand Chute.
GAME ONE: The Rattlers had a 2-0 lead heading into the top of the ninth inning. Nibaldo Acosta retired the first batter, but allowed a pair of singles. Brian Stitt came on and allowed a three-run homer to Brock Peterson and the SWING held on for a 3-2 win.
GAME TWO: Quad Cities shutout the Rattlers 8-0. The SWING had 14 hits, the Rattlers had three. Rattler record after this game: 24-33
2005: The Rattlers beat Southwest Michigan 10-4 at home. Wisconsin scored seven times in the fourth inning. Rob Johnson homered in the inning. Sebastien Boucher had three RBI in the game. Rattler record after this game: 33-26
2006: The Rattlers split a doubleheader with Kane County at home.
GAME ONE: The Cougars won 3-2. Roman Martinez allowed two runs in the sixth inning and Kane County had a 3-0 lead. The Rattlers got a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth and the tying run to third base, but it wasn't enough.
GAME TWO: The Rattlers won 6-2. Michael Saunders had a two-run triple as part of a four-run second. Justin Ockerman was the starting pitcher, but lasted just two innings. Nick Allen got the win in relief. Rattler record after this game: 25-34
2007: The Rattlers and Kane County were rained out at home.
A 4-5 record and that game one loss in the day game of the doubleheader push this day to a thumbs down in Rattler history.
