GAME TWO: The Rattlers trailed 4-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh. Todd Wellemeyer tossed six scoreless innings and allowed two hits while striking out 11. The first two Rattler batters in the bottom of the seventh were retired by Lawrence Alvarez. Then, Quintana drew a walk. Then, Jake Daubert singled. Then, Mark Carroll singled and Quintana scored. Then, John Castellano drew a walk as a pinch-hitter on a 3-2 pitch to load the bases. Then, Lansing closer Frank Jongjean relieved Alvarez. Then, Ariel Durango hit the first pitch from Jongjean out of the park for a walk-off grand slam. Rattler record after this game: 37-26

2002: The Rattlers won 7-1 at Peoria. Corey Freeman had three hits and Chris Collins homered for the offense. Oscar Delgado tossed a complete game and allowed just four hits. The only run he gave up was an RBI single by Yadier Molina in the fifth.

2003: The Rattlers beat Kane County 4-3 in Geneva. Rene Rivera had three hits and drove in two runs. His RBI single in the sixth snapped a 3-3 tie. TA Fulmer, Ryan Rowland-Smith, and Miguel Martinez kept the Cougars off the board after that. Rattler record after this game: 37-26

2004: The Rattlers lost 9-6 at home to South Bend. Ryan Feierabend gave up six runs (five earned) on 10 hits over six innings for the loss. Rattler record after this game: 26-35

*2005: The Rattlers lost 5-3 at home to Cedar Rapids. Drew Toussaint homered in the sixth to tie a 2-2 score. Freddy Sandoval hit a two-run, inside-the-park homer in the top of the seventh. Rattler record after this game: 35-28

2006: The Rattlers won 4-2 at Lansing. Ruben Flores, Edgar Guaramato, and Joe Woerman allowed just four hits. Luis Valbuena put Wisconsin up 4-1 with a two-run homer in the top of the fifth. Rattler record after this game: 26-38

2007: The Rattlers won 4-2 at Quad Cities. Alex Liddi drove in a run with a double, Kuo Hui Lo scored twice and drove in two runs. Justin Souza pitched five scoreless innings in an emergency spot start for the win. Rattler record after this game: 18-45

A 6-3 record makes this a pretty good day. Mix in the walk-off grand slam by Durango; the pitching performances of Snyder, Souza, and Delgado; and the win in Kane County...This may be one of the best days in Rattler history...since 2000

*-Whoops. I had the June 13 game here instead of the June 12 game. Go figure.
