Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Timber Rattlers have fared on June 13...since 2000.

2000: The Rattler game with Beloit in Grand Chute was rained out. Rattler record on this date: 35-29

2001: The Rattlers beat Lansing 8-7 with three runs in the bottom of the ninth. Wilfredo Quintana drove in the tying runs with a two-out triple. He scored moments later on a Mark Carroll single. Rattler record after this game: 38-26

2002: The Rattlers were rained out in their home game with West Michigan. Rattler record on this date: 30-35*

2003: The Rattlers won 8-1 at Kane County. Jon Nelson homered and drove in a pair of runs. Cesar Jimenez gave up one run on six hits over six innings. The win moved the Timber Rattlers to within one victory of the first half division title. Rattler record after this game: 38-26

2004: The Rattlers won 5-1 over South Bend at home. Nibaldo Acosta pitched a complete game and allowed one run on five hits. Chris Colton and Michael Cox both homered to lead the offense. Rattler record after this game: 27-35

2005: The Rattlers won 4-3 at Clinton. Asdrubal Cabrera knocked in two runs with a triple in the first inning. Rob Johnson followed with an RBI single. Yung Chi Chen homered in the third. Jason Snyder pitched eight innings and struck out eight for the win. Rattler record after this game: 36-28

2006: The Rattlers lost 6-2 at Lansing. The game was tied 1-1 until the Lugnuts scored three times in the fifth. Luis Valbuena homered in the sixth, but that was it for the Rattler defense. Rattler record after this game: 26-39

2007: The Rattlers won 5-2 at Quad Cities. Carlos Peguero hit a three-run homer in the top of the first inning. Kyle Parker, Ricky Orta, and Brian Kappel combined on the five-hit performance. Rattler record after this game: 19-45

A 5-1 record along with that comeback win over Lansing in 2001 makes it a pretty good day in Rattler history.

*-Originally had this as a rain-shortened game. It's a doubleheader on June 14. Mistake, I know.
