Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Timber Rattlers have fared on June 14…since 2000

2000: The Rattlers were off. Wisconsin record on this day 35-29.

2001: The Rattlers beat Michigan 7-5 at home. Dan Floyd homered, drove in two runs, and scored two runs. Wisconsin record after this game: 39-26

2002: The Rattlers were swept in a doubleheader by West Michigan in Grand Chute.

GAME ONE: The Rattlers lost 4-0 to West Michigan. Phil Cullen struck out eight over five innings, but gave up one run for the loss. The Whitecaps scored three more runs in the sixth inning. The game was called with one out in the bottom of the seventh.

GAME TWO: The Rattlers lost 4-2. Juan Tejada hit a three-run homer in the first inning off Renee Cortez. Nothing doing after that. Rattler record after this game: 30-37

2003: Kane County beat the Rattlers 1-0. Tanner Watson pitched six scoreless innings, but Joe Blanton pitched seven scoreless innings for Kane County Francis Gomez drove in the go ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The loss set up a one game showdown on the last day of the half for the division title. Rattler record after this game: 38-27

2004: The Rattlers won 10-9 at Dayton. Wladimir Balentien had four hits and Hyung Cho drove in the go ahead run in the top of the tenth. Wisconsin record after this game: 28-35

2005: The Rattlers lost 11-5 at Clinton. The LumberKings scored five runs in the first inning off Casey Abrams and pulled away with five more off Eric O’Flaherty. Rattler record after this game: 36-29

2006: The Rattlers were off. Wisconsin record on this day: 26-39

2007: The Rattlers lost 5-1 at Quad Cities. Brad Furnish and Tyler Herron combined to allow five hits to shutdown the Wisconsin bats. Timber Rattler record after this game: 19-46

A 2-5 records with some crummy losses do not offset the exciting wins of 2001 and 2004. Thumbs down on June 14...in Rattler history.
