GAME ONE STARTER:
RHP NATHAN ADCOCK: Selected by the Mariners in the fifth round of the 2006 draft out of North Hardin (KY) High School.
LAST WIN: Adcock picked up his first win of the season with seven shutout innings at Great Lakes on May 6. He struck out a career high nine batters and walked just one in a 6-0 win over the Loons.
LAST START: Adcock allowed three runs (one earned) on two hits in the first inning at Kane County on May 28. He gave up one more hit over the remainder of his seven inning start. But, Adcock took the loss in a 3-1 Cougar victory. Adcock struck out eight and walked three in the game.
LAST OUTING: Adcock pitched an inning in relief at Burlington on June 10. He allowed one run on one hit with one walk and one strikeout. Adcock had started against Quad Cities on June 7 nd allowed six runs in 1/3 of an inning, but rain wiped out the game after three innings.
SCORELESS SKEIN: Adcock went 17-2/3 innings without allowing a run from the second inning of his start at Lansing on May 1 through two outs in the first inning of his start against Kane County on May 17.
VS. CLINTON: Adcock faced the LumberKings on April 10, 2007 in a relief outing in his Timber Rattler debut.

GAME TWO STARTER:
RH WALTER SURIEL: Signed as a non-drafted free agent out of the Dominican Republic on April 20, 2006.
THAT FIRST SEASON: Suriel was 2-2 with four saves and an ERA of 1.25 in 19 games for Seattle’s affiliate in the Dominican Summer League in 2006. He struck out 39 batters in 36 innings pitched.
A STREAK TO REMEMBER: Did not allow a run during a 19 inning scoreless streak from June 8 through July 25, 2006
REPEAT PERFORMANCE: Suriel went back to the Dominican Summer League in 2007 and was 4-2 with a 2.62 ERA in 14 games (12 starts).
AUTUMN OF THE SEASON: Suriel participated in Seattle’s 2007 Arizona Instructional League.
ON, WISCONSIN: Suriel joined the Timber Rattlers on May 8, 2008. He allowed four runs (two earned) with three walks and no hits over 2/3 of an inning in his first appearance as a Rattler on May 9.
LAST WIN: Suriel beat the St. Louis Cardinal’s Dominican Summer League affiliate on August 8, 2007. He pitched five shutout innings. He gave up five hits, walked one and struck out four.
LAST START: In his final appearance of the 2007 season, the affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies beat Suriel on August 13. He gave up five runs (two earned) on three hits over 4-1/3 innings with two walks and five strikeouts.
LAST APPEARANCE: Suriel allowed one run on two hits in one inning of a relief appearance at Burlington on June 11. He did not walk a batter and struck out one.
VS. CLINTON: Tonight is Suriel’s first appearance against the LumberKings and against an affiliate of the Texas Rangers.
