Mariner System Report (Games of 4/11)

Seattle (MAJ: 3-2, 2nd in AL West): The Mariners beat the Red Sox 3-0. Felix Hernandez (WI '03) pitched a complete game, one-hit shutout of the Red Sox. Boston did not have a hit until JD Drew singled to start the eighth. Hernandez struck out six and walked two for his second victory in two starts this season.

Tacoma (Triple-A: 3-4, 2nd in PCL Pacific North): The Rainiers beat Fresno 6-5 in thirteen innings at Fresno. Rob Johnson (WI '05) doubled to start the thirteenth inning and scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error. The Rainiers scored another run in the inning to go up 6-4 and held on for the win.

West Tennessee (Double-A: 2-5, 4th in Southern League North): The Diamond Jaxx lost 7-0 at Jacksonville. The Suns broke up a scoreless game with a run in the fourth and tacked on some late runs for the victory.

High Desert (High-A: 1-6, T-4th in California League South): The Mavericks lost 9-4 in eleven innings to Visalia. The Oaks scored two unearned runs in the top of the ninth off Austin Bibens-Dirkx to tie the game and five in the eleventh to send High Desert to their fifth straight loss. Aaron Jensen (WI '05) allowed two unearned runs in six innings with three strikeouts for the Mavericks. Ron Garth (WI '06) had three hits for High Desert.
