Mariner System Report (Games of 4/18)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 5-4; 1st AL West): The Mariners lost 11-2 to the Twins. Minnesota pulled away from Seattle with five runs in the top of the fifth inning to go up 7-1.

TACOMA (AAA: 5-8; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Sacramento 2-1. Jeff Clement (WI ’05) hit a one-out double in the bottom of the ninth inning to drive in the winning runs for Tacoma.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 4-8; T-4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 3-2 in twelve innings to Mississippi. Sebastien Boucher (WI ’05) knocked in both West Tennessee runs in the game. Luis Valbuena (WI ’06) had three hits.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 4-8; T-4th California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Inland Empire 6-5. Aaron Jensen (WI ’05) pitched seven innings and allowed two runs on three hits. He left the game with the Mavs up 6-2 and the bullpen held on after the 66ers scored a run in the eighth and two in the ninth. Austin Bibens-Dirkx (WI ’06) got the save in the stadium of the former Mariner Cal League affiliate.
