BOBBY!

Bobby Livingston ('03) with a LOOK AT ME! performance for the Reds in Atlanta last night:

Providing plenty to watch
Griffey sixth by himself in HRs; Livingston stars on hill, at plate

Ken Griffey Jr. made a little history. Bobby Livingston made a strong case to get an extended turn in the rotation - and maybe for pinch-hitting duty.
...
Livingston went five innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, to earn the victory. He also went 4-for-4 at plate, becoming the first Red pitcher to do so since John Smiley on June 7, 1993.

Livingston is 2-0 with a 3.18 ERA in three starts for the Reds.

Livingston pitches, too Reds winning pitcher goes 4-for-4 at the plate

Reds left-hander Bobby Livingston has seemed like an afterthought this entire season.

During spring training, he was the outside candidate for the fifth starter's position, but lost out to Matt Belisle. In May he made his debut with the Reds, giving up four earned runs against the Dodgers, but the victim of a blown save. Days later he was shipped back to Class AAA Louisville. In June he came up for a start in the thin air of Colorado and didn't allow an extra base hit or an earned run in 6 2/3 innings, but even as he was pitching a masterpiece, he was overshadowed by the news that the club's most anticipated pitching prospect, Homer Bailey, was going to be called up.

So, Bobby, what say you about Junior's 587th career home run?
"Griffey's unbelievable. He doesn't think it's a big deal, but I think it's freakin' awesome," said Livingston, who was on second base for Griffey's second-inning blast. "What a great player he is and guy he is. He's so much fun to watch. It's a dream come true for me to sit in the same dugout and watch him swing the bat."

There is plenty more on Wisconsin's single season record holder for wins at the link.
