Mariner System Report (Games of 7/31)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 58-46; 2nd AL West): The Mariners beat the Angels 2-0. Ichiro had three hits and an RBI. Miguel Batista pitched seven innings and gave up just four hits. JJ Putz (’00) pitched a scoreless ninth for his 31st save of the season.

TACOMA (AAA: 48-62; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Oklahoma 6-5. Ryan Feierabend (’04) allowed four runs (two earned) over seven innings for the win. Gookie Dawkins drove in three runs for Tacoma.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 47-61 overall; 16-22 second half; 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Tennessee 11-6. Luis Oliveros (’00), Chris Minaker (’06), and Mike Wilson (’05) all homered for West Tennessee. Luis Valbuena (’06) drove in four runs for the Diamond Jaxx.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 41-67 overall; 10-28 second half; 5th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Inland Empire 20-7. Carlos Triunfel (’07) went 6-for-6 with two RBI and three runs scored to lead High Desert. Travis Scott (’06) hit a grand slam for the Mavs.

EVERETT (Short Season-A: 15-25; 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox were off on Monday.

AZL Mariners (Rookie: 23-9 overall; 3-1 second half T-1st Arizona League): The AZL M’s beat the Giants 9-4.
