Mariner System Report (Games of 7/15)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 51-38; 2nd AL West): The Mariners lost 11-7 to Detroit. Jeff Weaver allowed seven runs on ten hits over five innings to take the loss.

TACOMA (AAA: 42-53; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Fresno 10-9. Adam Jones (’04) and Wladimir Balentien (WI ’04) both homered for the Rainiers. Juan Sandoval (’03) got the win in relief.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 39-56 overall; 8-17 second half; 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 5-4 in twelve innings. Marshall Hubard (’05) homered and drove in a pair of runs for West Tennessee. But, the Mudcats scored a run in the top of the ninth to tie the game and a run in the twelfth for the win. Mark Lowe gave up a run on a hit and a walk over 2/3 of an inning.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 38-56 overall; 7-17 second half; 5th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 21-5 to Lake Elsinore. Carlos Triunfel (’07) had a pair of hits, scored a pair of runs, and drove in one for High Desert. But, it was the eighth loss in the last ten games for the Mavs.

EVERETT (Short Season-A: 11-15; 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox lost 2-0 to Salem-Keizer. Greg Halman (’07) had two of the six hits for the Sox.

AZL Mariners (Rookie: 14-6; 1st Arizona League): The AZL M’s beat the Brewers 3-2 in ten innings.
