SEATTLE (MAJ: 54-39; 2nd AL West): The Mariners won 4-2 at Toronto. Adrian Beltre hit a two-run homer for Seattle. JJ Putz (’00) pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his 29th save.
TACOMA (AAA: 43-56; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers game with Las Vegas was rained out. The game will be made up as part of a double header tonight.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 43-56 overall; 12-17 second half; 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Mobile 8-2. Joe Woerman (’06) struck out eight over six shutout innings for the win. Brent Johnson (’05) homered and drove in a pair of runs for West Tennessee. Charlton Jimerson had two homers and four RBI for the Diamond Jaxx.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 39-60 overall; 8-21 second half; 5th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 11-0 at Lake Elsinore. Nathan Adcock (’07) allowed eight runs (seven earned) on four hits and five walks over four innings in his California League debut and took the loss. Shawn Estes ('95) pitched four scoreless innings in a major league rehab.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 13-17; 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox game with Boise was rained out. They will play a double header tonight.
AZL Mariners (Rookie: 17-7; 1st Arizona League): The AZL M’s beat the Angels 3-2. The Mariners scored a run in the bottom of the ninth inning for the win.
