SEATTLE (MAJ: 53-39; 2nd AL West): The Mariners beat Baltimore 6-5. Adrian Beltre drew a bases loaded walk to force in the run that broke a 5-5 tie in the bottom of the eighth. JJ Putz (’00) pitched a perfect ninth inning for his 28th save.
TACOMA (AAA: 43-55; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 10-9 at Salt Lake in twelve innings. Tacoma had a 9-4 lead in the game, but the Bees tied the game with four in the seventh and one in the ninth. Rob Johnson (’05) had three hits for Tacoma.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 41-56 overall; 10-17 second half; 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Mobile 5-4. Rene Rivera (’03) had three hits and an RBI for West Tennessee. The Diamond Jaxx held off Mobile for the win.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 39-58 overall; 8-19 second half; 5th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 12-4 to Modesto. Michael Saunders (’06) had a pair of hits including a solo homer for High Desert. But, it wasn't enough for the Mavs.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 12-17; 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox lost 9-5 to Boise. Greg Halman (’07) had a pair of hits and an RBI for Everett.
AZL Mariners (Rookie: 16-6; 1st Arizona League): The AZL M’s beat the Brewers 6-0.
