TACOMA (AAA: 40-51; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers were off on Wednesday.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 39-52 overall; 8-13 second half; T-4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Carolina 5-1. Marshall Hubbard (WI ’05) had three hits, including a solo home run, to lead the offense. Travis Chick pitched six scoreless innings, allowed three hits, and struck out eight for the win.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 37-53 overall; 6-14 second half; 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 8-4 to Bakersfield. Adam Moore (WI ’06) homered and drove in three runs for High Desert. Cibney Bello (WI ’05) allowed eight runs – four earned – over four innings and took the loss.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 10-12; 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox lost 4-3 at Eugene. The Emeralds scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to beat Everett. Ogui Diaz (WI ’07) hit a home run and knocked in two runs for the Sox.
AZL Mariners (Rookie: 13-3; 1st Arizona League): The AZL M’s were off on Wednesday.
