Bell scored the go ahead run on an RBI grounder by Jonathan Diaz.

START FAST: The Rattlers scored three runs in the top of the first inning. Ron Garth singled in a run with two outs. An error on a Joe White grounder later in the inning allowed the other two runs in the inning to score.

TOUGH BOUNCE: Rattler starting pitcher Steve Richard had a 3-1 lead with one out and a runner at first in the bottom of the fourth inning. Baksh sent a grounder back to the mound that got Richard on the foot for an infield single. Richard got out of the inning one batter later. In the bottom of the fifth, Richard had one out, one runner on base, and a 1-2 count on Scott Campbell when he was pulled from the game as a precaution. The Lugnuts tied the game with a pair of two-out RBI singles off Justin Souza in the fifth.

BACK IN FRONT: The Rattlers got back in front in the top of the sixth on back-to-back doubles by Alex Liddi and Carlos Peguero. Peguero scored later in the inning on an RBI fielder’s choice by Jamie McOwen.

THEN, LANSING CAME BACK: In the bottom of the sixth, Rodriguez double to start the inning against Souza. Baksh followed with an RBI double. Bell was next and he doubled in the tying run. Joe Kantakevich relieved Souza after the double by Bell. Bell scored on the RBI grounder.
