WIAA baseball notes: Appleton's Erickson ends pro baseball career
Matt Erickson, one of Appleton's favorite baseball sons, said today that his professional baseball career is over.

Erickson, 32, played professionally for 11 seasons. He said he had ambitions to compete again this season, but changed his mind.

Kimberly fans flock to state baseball tourney to cheer on Papermakers
Having the opportunity to cheer on the Papermakers at [Time Warner Cable Field at] Fox Cities Stadium was an unexpected reward for many after the team lost nine seniors from last year's state championship baseball squad.
The semifinals for Division 4, 3, and 2 are today. In fact, the first Division 4 semifinal is underway!
