SEATTLE (MAJ: 21-35 4th American League West): The Mariners beat Detroit 5-0. Felix Hernandez allowed two hits over seven shutout innings with no walks and seven strikeouts.
TACOMA (AAA: 27-28, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Salt Lake 9-3. Jeff Clement (’05) and Rob Johnson (’05) both had a pair of RBI. Clement homered, his tenth of the year.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 34-22, T-1st Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 5-3 to Tennessee. The Smokies broke a 1-1 tie with a pair of runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh. Michael Saunders (’06) drove in a run for West Tennessee.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 26-30, T-2nd California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 4-0 at Stockton. Carlos Peguero (’07) had two of High Desert’s eight hits.
