Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Rattlers have fared on June 9...since 2000

2000: The Rattlers lost 3-2 at Fort Wayne. Caleb Balbuena allowed three runs in an eight-inning, complete game loss. He gave up six hits, walked five, and struck out three. Rattler record after this game: 33-27

2001: The Rattlers won 4-3 at Burlington. Blake Bone tied the game with an RBI double in the top of the seventh and scored moments later on a sacrifice fly by Wilfredo Quintana. Chad Wiles pitched a scoreless ninth for the save. Rattler record after this game: 35-25

2002: The Rattlers lost 7-0 in their first ever game at O'Brien Field in Peoria. Aaron Russelburg (7IP) and Dan Shouse (2IP) combined on a one-hitter. Jason Van Meetren doubled in the second inning for the only hit. Then, he got picked off third by catcher Yadier Molina. Rattler record after this game: 28-34

2003: The Rattlers won 2-1 at South Bend. Gary Harris drove in a pair of runs with a two-out double in the top of the seventh inning. Rattler record after this game: 36-25

2004: The Rattlers were off. Wisconsin record on this date: 25-33

2005: The Rattlers beat Cedar Rapids 7-4 at home. Wisconsin was down 3-1 heading into the sixth inning. Then, the Rattlers scored five times in the bottom of the sixth. Yung Chi Chen tied the game with a two-run triple. Josh Womack, Sebastien Boucher, and Asdrubal Cabrera all had RBI hits later in the inning. Rattler record after this game: 34-26

2006: The Rattler lost 3-2 at home to Kane County. Anthony Recker hit a two-run homer in the sixth to make the score 2-1 in favor of the Cougars. An RBI single by Steve Kleen in the seventh gave Kane County just enough insurance. Rattler record after this game: 25-36

2007: Kane County swept a doubleheader from the Timber Rattlers in Grand Chute.

GAME ONE: The Cougars won 7-0. James Heuser tossed a complete game, four-hit shutout. Michael Affronti hit a three run homer in the first inning.

GAME TWO: The Cougars won 6-2. The Rattlers managed two hits -- both in the fifth inning. Henry Rodriguez (5IP) and TJ Franco (2IP) combined on the victory. Rattler record after this game: 17-43

A 3-5 day with some tough losses. Thumbs down.
