Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Timber Rattlers have fared on June 16...since 2000:

2000: The Rattlers beat Michigan 7-5 in Grand Chute. Justin Leone hit a pair of homers and Sheldon Fulse hit a three-run homer. The Battle Cats put two runners on in the top of the ninth, but Aquilino Lopez came out of the bullpen and struck out the side, including Jason Lane for out number two, to wrap up the win. Rattler record after this game: 37-29

2001: The Rattlers beat Michigan 7-6 at home. Wisconsin trailed 6-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh. A run-scoring balk and an RBI single by Jake Daubert tied the game in the seventh. An RBI grounder by Dan Floyd pushed the winning run across the plate. Aaron Taylor pitched two scoreless innings in his Rattler debut for the win. Rattler record after this game: 41-26

2002: The Rattlers lost 5-0 to West Michigan at home to end the first half. Dan Floyd and Shin-Soo Choo each had two hits for four of the six Rattler hits in the game. The Whitecaps broke a 1-0 game open with three runs in the ninth. Rattler record after this game: 30-39

2003: The Rattlers were off for the Midwest League All-Star Break.

2004: The Rattlers won 8-7 in eleven innings. Wisconsin was up 7-1. Then, the Dragons scored six times in the bottom of the seventh. Adam Jones doubled in the eleventh and scored on an error. Rattler record on this date: 29-36

2005: The Rattlers won 6-1 at Beloit. Aaron Jensen allowed one run on six hits over seven innings for the win. Yung Chi Chen had three hits, drove in a run, and scored a run. Rattler record after this game: 38-29

2006: The Rattlers lost 7-1 at Quad Cities. Trey Hearn struck out 10 Rattlers over six shutout innings. Jeff Flaig drove in the only Rattler run...with a double in the top of the ninth. Rattler record after this game: 27-41

2007: The Timber Rattlers won 4-3 in 11 innings at Cedar Rapids. Alex Liddi drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the eleventh. Andrew Barb pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the 11th for his ninth save. Rattler record after this game: 21-46

A 5-2 record and that amazing game in Dayton from 2004 make this a really good day in Timber Rattler history...since 2000.
