RH JUAN RAMIREZ: Signed as a non-drafted free agent out of Nicaragua by Seattle in July 2005.
LAST START: Ramirez allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits over six innings against Quad Cities on Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium on June 5. He walked one and struck out six in a no-decision. He left with the Rattlers trailing 3-2, but Wisconsin rallied to tie the game and eventually win 4-3 in 10 innings.
ON THE ROAD: Ramirez is 1-3 with an ERA of 4.15 in five starts on the road this season. He has struck out 20 and walked seven over 26.0 innings pitched.
AT HOME: Ramirez is 2-1 with an ERA of 3.34 in six starts at home this season. He has struck out 38 and walked 11 in 35 innings pitched.
NUMBER NINE: Ramirez struck out nine batters in three consecutive starts. The streak started against West Michigan on April 28; continued with a start at Great Lakes on May 4; and reached three against Cedar Rapids.
VS. BURLINGTON: Ramirez beat the Bees on May 15 in Grand Chute. He allowed two runs on four hits over seven innings with a walk and three strikeouts. Wisconsin won 7-2.
